Work on preserving/restoring the old St. Philip's church is about to begin after an earlier agreement by the Town, the Parish and the Diocese. The Parish has hired a company to provide a structural report and costs related to bringing the building up to current standards. The Church By The Sea Inc. heritage group will secure on site the church steeple, and properly repair and cover the top of the old church tower, where the steeple had been. The CBTS professionals and volunteers will be doing an onsite inspection of these items, and with approval, will work on the actual project repairs as soon as possible.
